Preservation New Jersey and the New Jersey Jazz Society welcome Tom Tallitsch and his combo for an evening of jazz in his first appearance in concert at the 1867 Sanctuary  “listening room!”

The group features Tom Tallitsch (Tenor & Soprano Saxophones), Rev Chris Marsceill (Piano), Steve Varner (Upright Bass), and Bill Avayou (Drums).

Tom Tallitsch is a Saxophonist, Composer, Recording Artist, Music Educator, and Former Host of ‘The Modern Jazz Radio Show’
on WWFM.

He performs at jazz clubs and in NYC and throughout the east coast. Venues include: Smalls Jazz Club, The 55 Bar, Birdland, Blue Note, Minton’s, The Sidedoor, Chris’ Jazz Cafe, Arts Council Of Princeton, WhyNot Jazz Room, Cornelia Street Cafe, The Garage, Bar Next Door, Paris Bistro, South Jazz Club, and many more. He regularly and tours throughout the United States as a leader and sideman. His 8th album as a leader is due out May 11th on Posi-Tone Records. Tom’s albums are on radio playlists around the world and have topped off at #18 on The JazzWeek charts. In addition to Tom’s upcoming release he is currently engaged in a 5 album, composition/recording project this year at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Philadelphia.

In addition to having his compositions and arrangements played by vocalists and musicians throughout New York and Philadelphia, Tom’s works have been performed by individual dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company at various choreographer showcase venues. He is musical director, and composer for the multi-media dance company Big Sky Project, founded by his wife Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch.

Tom owns a highly recommended music tutoring business in Princeton, NJ and is a popular jazz educator and clinician. He works as a piano teacher to students on the autism spectrum at The Princeton Child Development Institute and teaches piano and woodwinds at The Princeton Junior School.

  • $20 for General Admission
  • $15 for Members of the New Jersey Jazz Society
  • $15 for Friends of the Sanctuary
  • $5 for School and College students with ID
  • $15 per person for Groups of 10 or more**

Tickets can be purchased online or reserved at the box office for payment by cash, check or credit card by calling 609-392-6409 or emailing 1867sanctuary@preservationnj.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door as space allows.

For online purchases, PLEASE PRINT AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT emailed from PayPal. You will not be mailed tickets. While our notification from PayPal is usually sufficient, the receipt will provide your proof of purchase, particularly for same-day purchases.

**GROUP RATES (10 or more people). Group rates apply only to advance online sales and must be purchased in quantities of 10 or more within a single purchase. Group rate tickets cannot be purchased at the box office prior to the concert.
