Marc Kaye’s Songwriter’s Showcase

Preservation New Jersey presents a Songwriter’s Showcase featuring SIX touring and published singer-songwriters and recording artists: Christine Fury, Jessica Graae, Nancy HuebnerBob Lincoln, Reade McCardell and performer and producer Marc Kaye.

Jessica Graae, (www.jessicagraae.com) Elephant Talk’s 2018 Indie Music Award winner for non-local Singer-Songwriter, and winner of the WSTW’s Hometown Heroes Homey Award for Best Female Solo Artist (2015, 2017), blends her folk-rock style and classical training to create haunting, soulful songs. Jessica has played thePhiladelphia Folk, the Delmarva Folk and Haverford Music Festivals, among many others. Jessica has opened for Ed Kowalczyk at World Café Live (Wilmington, DE), and for Melissa Ferrick in Congress Hall (Cape May, NJ). She is a 2013 and 2018 Philadelphia Folk Factory contest winner and a 2017 PHL Live Center Stage Best Folk/Country finalist. Jessica released her third studio album, Blue Heart, in November 2017. Recently, her work was featured on WHYY’s Local Music program.

Nancy Huebner
Nancy Huebner

Nancy Huebner is a creative musician and songwriter and her songs weave tales that can easily fit into a 2 hour musical or a quick narrative that will have you reflecting long after her performance. Her piano skills are as impressive as her vocals and as she has described herself, she is simply “a singer, songwriter, pianist and healthcare professional attempting to reconcile it all in 3 1/2 minute increments.”

Reade McCardell
Reade McCardell

Reade McCardell (www.reademccardell.com) has been involved in music for a few small whiles now. he helped birth some strange sonic creatures with his friends in Red China in Detroit, participated in musical malpractice and magnificent kinship with the “pop-secret” outfit Fresh Cut Salads, played in a wondrous church band for a couple years, and has contribute bits and pieces of incidental music to a few very small films.

Rob Lincoln
Rob Lincoln

Rob Lincoln (https://lincolnsongs.weebly.com/) is a prolific singer-songwriter best known for his multitude of songs that range in styles from finger-picking folk and historical ballads to psychedelia and garage rock. In 2014 Rob released his solo debut, 5 Cents A Song, the longest debut recording ever (300 songs) and longest single disc album of all time in any genre (18+ hours). Featured in NJ Monthly and Icon Magazine, it also received positive reviews in Canada and the UK. In addition to songwriting, Rob is an accomplished violinist who has appeared on more than a half dozen CDs by other artists.

Christine Fury
Christine Fury

Christine Fury , a full time musician, also teaches music (Voice, guitar, and piano). She performs many styles of music depending on the audience and venue. Her repetoire includes standards (think 1930’s and 40’s jazz) as well as Doo Wop, Oldies, Motown, Classic Country, 70’s Pop Classics , Top 40 Pop and Rock.
In addition to solo acoustic work she has a duo and three and four piece Dance/Party Band for club work and special events that also includes 70’s FunkR&B Dance music of  Barry White, Bee Gee’s, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles.

Marc Kaye
Marc Kaye

A student of piano since age 7, Marc Kaye has been writing music and lyrics for over 3 decades. Marc’s songs are at once both personal and universal in their themes – love, loss, reflection and the journeys we continue to find ourselves on. His melodies have been described as “poignant” and “resonant”.

Wheelchair accessibleThe 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center is wheelchair-accessible through a wheelchair ramp through the gate on the left side of the building. All parking is across the street in the Ewing Presbyterian Church lots, including an inner ring across the street for disabled parking. Passengers may be dropped off at the curb directly in front of the main entrance; please use your hazard flashers when stopped there. Concert parking is recommended in the north lot (by the field closest to I-295). For your safety, please cross at the marked crosswalk and press the yellow button to activate flashers.

  • $20 for General Admission
  • $15 for Friends of the Sanctuary
  • $5 for School and College students with ID
  • $15 per person for Groups of 10 or more**

Tickets can be purchased online or reserved at the box office for payment by cash, check or credit card by calling 609-392-6409 or emailing 1867sanctuary@preservationnj.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door as space allows. (Sorry – we don’t mail tickets. Tickets will be held at the box office and a receipt will be emailed from PayPal if purchased online.)

**GROUP RATES (10 or more people). Group rates apply only to advance online sales and must be purchased in quantities of 10 or more within a single purchase. Group rate tickets cannot be purchased at the box office prior to the concert.
