Jocelyn Crosby, Flutist – “Peace & Plenty”

Preservation New Jersey welcomes classical flutist Jocelyn Crosby to the beautiful acoustics and stained glass lighting of the 1867 Sanctuary.

Jocelyn Crosby seeks to connecting people through a common humanity. The music she performs is representative of many diverse composers. This concert program, Peace & Plenty, will include music by William Grant Still, Piazzolla, in addition to Mélanie Bonis, Amy Beach, and living composers such as Judith Zaimont and Adina Izarra, and a surprise or two…

She requests that attendees for this Saturday afternoon performance come in their jeans for a relaxed, casual classical concert.

Jocelyn Crosby is a flute soloist and freelance artist in the Lancaster, PA region, and has performed for over 20 years. Ms. Crosby is an expressive soloist known for exceptional charisma with a powerful impact. She has subbed at the Fulton Theatre in their pit orchestra and performed with the popular local ensemble, Vivace Live. An in-demand artist, Ms. Crosby will be touring several states this year with her concert program, Peace and Plenty. Ms. Crosby teaches the flute at the Lancaster Conservatory and out of her home in Lancaster. She additionally teaches music classes at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School in West Chester, PA. Ms. Crosby holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and Music Education from Temple University, where she later earned a Master of Music in Music History. An advocate of lifelong learning, Ms. Crosby is currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Education program through the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Wheelchair accessibleThe 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center is wheelchair-accessible through a wheelchair ramp through the gate on the left side of the building. All parking is across the street in the Ewing Presbyterian Church lots, including an inner ring across the street for disabled parking. Passengers may be dropped off at the curb directly in front of the main entrance; please use your hazard flashers when stopped there. Concert parking is recommended in the north lot (by the field closest to I-295). For your safety, please cross at the marked crosswalk and press the yellow button to activate flashers.

  • $20 for General Admission
  • $15 for Friends of the Sanctuary
  • $5 for School and College students with ID
  • $15 per person for Groups of 10 or more**

Tickets can be purchased online or reserved at the box office for payment by cash, check or credit card by calling 609-392-6409 or emailing 1867sanctuary@preservationnj.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door as space allows. (Sorry – we don’t mail tickets. Tickets will be held at the box office and a receipt will be emailed from PayPal if purchased online.)

**GROUP RATES (10 or more people). Group rates apply only to advance online sales and must be purchased in quantities of 10 or more within a single purchase. Group rate tickets cannot be purchased at the box office prior to the concert.
