Rorie Kelly, Carla Ulbrich, and Eric Jay, Americana
September 20 @ 8:00 pm
CARLA ULBRICH (www.carlau.com/) is a comical singer-songwriter and guitarist whose biggest musical influences are Sesame Street, camp songs, and cat food commercials. Her 7 CDs have been aired on the BBC, Dr. Demento, Sirius XM Radio, NPR’s Morning Edition.
Carla has been performing since the late 90s, playing in venues small and smaller, from the Clothing Optional Folk Festival to the Bluebird Cafe.
RORIE KELLY makes ladybeast music. Her life’s mission is to create music that inspires others to love themselves fiercely and become their own heroes. Rorie’s empowerment anthem “If You Teach a Bird to Sing” led her to perform the Obama White House and earned her a top 10 staff pick from WFUV’s John Platt. Her new single Alternative Facts is about raising your voice and resisting, and will be part of a larger forthcoming album called Shadow Work. For more information please visit www.roriekelly.com or follow Rorie on social media.
ERIC JAY is a Long Island born-and-bred musician with over 30 years of guitar playing and 24 years of songwriting experience under his belt. After meeting and marrying his Jersey Girl, he is now a converted Eagles fan (pre-Super Bowl win) and enjoys life in the Garden State as well as the occasional adventure in Bucks County. In 2014, Eric had the honor of recording his first EP at the famed Electric Lady Studios in NYC – setting an occupancy record on one track for most singers ever packed into Studio A (Legend has it that they held up Bono, who was reportedly pacing in the next room).
The 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center is wheelchair-accessible through a wheelchair ramp through the gate on the left side of the building. All parking is across the street in the Ewing Presbyterian Church lots, including an inner ring across the street for disabled parking. Passengers may be dropped off at the curb directly in front of the main entrance; please use your hazard flashers when stopped there. Concert parking is recommended in the north lot (by the field closest to I-295). For your safety, please cross at the marked crosswalk and press the yellow button to activate flashers.
