Jim Arkus

August 5, 2017 @ 8:00 pm

Preservation New Jersey is pleased to welcome singer-songwriter Jim Arkus in concert in the beautiful setting and acoustics of the historic landmark 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center!

Jim Arkus is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist with a powerful voice and a style which is somehow innovative and traditional at the same time. He has taken inspiration from the deep blues of such luminaries as Charlie Patton, Son House, and Mississippi Fred McDowell, as well as contemporary folk and rock acts, and forged a unique style on the guitar and banjo.

A resident of Ewing Township, Jim has played in a variety of venues and musical contexts in the area. His YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/jima2985) has nearly 300,000 views, and his original music is available for download on Amazon.com (http://a.co/co7Q1g5) or BandCamp (https://jimarkus.bandcamp.com/) For concert and video updates, please follow his Facebook Band Page: https://www.facebook.com/JimArkus1/
