David Cullen

Preservation New Jersey is pleased to welcome Grammy Award Winning Guitarist David Cullen (www.cullenguitar.comto the wonderful acoustics of the 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center!

The evening of solo guitar playing will feature his compositions from his Solid Air Records Live Concert release, One Night One Guitar.

The NEW YORK TIMES has described David Cullen’s playing as “Folk, Jazz and Blues Superstructures”. David Cullen is featured on the Windham Hill Guitar Sampler and has performed with Will Ackerman, Samite and Michael Manring.

David Cullen is a Grammy Award Winner for Best Pop Instrumental Recording. He has performed with Will Ackerman, Samite, Tracy Silverman, Darol Anger, The DePue Brothers Band and Michael Manring. David also has played with The Jaco Big Band, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Philly Pops.

David Cullen has performed in a dazzling wide range of styles including Classical, Jazz, and World Music. David has performed throughout North America for Classical Guitar Societies, Jazz Festivals, and Performing Arts Series. He has released 10 CDs for the acoustic guitar label Solid Air Records. David Cullen’s recordings have been featured on NPR stations across America.

David Cullen earned his Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the Hartt School of Music. David is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Elizabethtown College working with Music Therapy and Music Education majors. He teaches Jazz and Classical Guitar at  West Chester University.

David Cullen also teaches guitar to Music Business and Music Technology students at  Millersville University       (http://www.millersville.edu/music/

Recording work also includes the Windham Hill Guitar Sampler and other Windham Hill Compilation CDs. David has released 2 books through Warner Brothers Publications; Jazz, Classical, and Beyond as well as Grateful Guitar. His performance DVD Jazz, Classical and Beyond features multi-camera angles and lessons.

Tickets may also be purchased at the door as space allows.  (Sorry – we don’t mail tickets. Tickets will be held at the box office and a receipt will be emailed if purchased online.)

If ordering two or three ticket types, each type must be purchased in a separate order. You will receive an email confirmation of each purchase. Online tickets will be held at the box office; please print and bring your receipt in case it is needed to confirm your purchase.

**GROUP RATES (10 or more people). Group rates apply only to advance online sales and must be purchased in quantities of 10 or more within a single purchase. Group rate tickets cannot be purchased at the box office prior to the concert.
