The 90-voice Bucks County Women’s Chorus will present both secular and sacred holiday pieces of a variety of genres, from ancient carols to traditional favorites to modern compositions written by some of today’s top choral composers. The audience will be treated to both Christmas and winter-themed songs as well as a variety of multi-cultural pieces.
Directed by Westminster Choir College graduate, Patricia Guth, Bucks County Women’s Chorus was founded in 2012 and since that time has presented nearly 100 concerts in the Greater Philadelphia/Central New Jersey area and beyond. In 2018, they were invited to sing at the White House Holiday Open House and earlier this year performed at the Empire State Building and sang with the 70s/80s rock band, Foreigner, at a concert at Parx Casino. In addition, members of the choir have participated in performance tours in Italy, Hungary, Austria, Finland, Estonia, and Sweden, and will be visiting Greece in April 2020.
The ensemble has become well-known in the region not only for their beautiful and thoughtful choral renderings of a vast variety of pieces but also for the joy they bring to audiences of all ages.
The choir is accompanied by Susan Clark, also a Westminster Choir College alumnae.
