Violinist Alexandre Djokic has made a significant contribution to the musical culture of the Delaware Valley. Djokic gave the first ever performance of the complete Four Seasons of Vivaldi in Bucks County as soloist with the Philadelphia Camerata Orchestra. In 2006, the Mozart year, he performed a violin and piano recital in New Hope area’s only Mozart commemorative concert. Djokic, as violinist, has earned international recognition as a Laureate of the Colmar international competition and for his performance of the Brahms D Major Concerto at the International Violin Academy Festival and Master Classes in Tours, France.

In addition, Djokic is a respected music educator, and has taught at Princeton’s Westminster Conservatory. Presently, he teaches violin, viola, and cello at the Hunterdon Conservatory and is Master teacher at the Central Bucks Conservatory. Djokic has been invited by the Music Department of Montgomery Community College to give violin master classes to the most talented players selected from the county’s high schools in Spring of 2008. In the fall of 2010 he joined the music faculty of the Hun School of Princeton as instructor of violin and viola.

He is presently Artistic Director of the Konzertgild Chamber Series, as well as performing in Duo d’Esterhazy with pianist Roburt Gajdos.

Pianist Roburt Gajdos performs extensively throughout the Delaware Valley in public and private recitals, in addition to radio and television appearances, and currently serves on the faculties of the Hellyer Performing Arts Center as well as the Solebury School. He is a former student of the renowned pianist Susan Starr. In addition to their personal and artistic ties to the Delaware Valley, Djokic and Gajdos have something else in common. Both have incorporated elements of the Russian instrumental tradition in their playing. Djokic studied with Geza Kapacs, a former student of the great David Oistrakh, and Gajdos studied pianistic style and tone production with Olga D’Stroumillo, an associate of Vladimir Horowitz. Gajdos is also a talented composer.
