Pyrenesia – Album Release Concert!
February 2 @ 8:00 pm
It’s here! Pyrenesia’s first full-length release, Off-Beat Symphony will be officially available on all of your favorite streaming/download sources on February 2nd. This means iTunes, Bandcamp, Amazon Music, Spotify, CD Baby, and many more!
Preservation New Jersey and the New Jersey Jazz Society is pleased to welcome Pyrenesia, featuring vintage jazz with gypsy, klezmer, and folk influences. Pyrenesia couldn’t find a better way to celebrate the release than with a concert at one of the most beautiful venues in New Jersey, Ewing’s 1867 Sanctuary. The acoustics are great, the parking is free, and the price is right!
A dream-like trance discovered
Being swept up by a caravan
Traveling over mountains
Following the song
Lost in a cloud of melody.
They’ve got an old-timey sound that is just funky enough to make it relevant in today’s hipster music scene. ~ Lisa Rich/The Trenton Times
Formerly known as the River City Healers, Pyrenesia is a gypsy-swing-jazz-folk quartet based in the beautiful river town Lambertville, NJ. Combining original compositions with the Django Reinhardt tradition of gypsy jazz, Eastern European and klezmer melodies, and anything else that swings, Pyrenesia delivers a foot-stomping, dress-swirling, hand-clapping experience to lift spirits and transport listeners to a musical landscape as vast as the Pyrenees mountains are high.
Pyrenesia (www.pyrenesia.com) is Alan Rigoletto (guitar/vox), Patrick Knapp (upright bass), Daniella Fischetti (fiddle), and Tony Kovatch (accordion).
Jazz at the 1867 Sanctuary and throughout the Trenton/Princeton area is featured on trenton.jazznearyou.com. Download their app for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire!
Preservation New Jersey is pleased that the New Jersey Jazz Society (NJJS) is co-sponsoring jazz events at the 1867 Sanctuary. We encourage fans of our jazz concerts and jazz musicians to join NJJS at www.njjs.org so they receive their award-winning Jersey Jazz journal 11 times a year and other special benefits, including a $5 discount on tickets to Jazz Music Series concerts at the 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing!
The 1867 Sanctuary Arts and Culture Center is wheelchair-accessible through a wheelchair ramp through the gate on the left side of the building. All parking is across the street in the Ewing Presbyterian Church lots, including an inner ring across the street for disabled parking. Passengers may be dropped off at the curb directly in front of the main entrance; please use your hazard flashers when stopped there. Concert parking is recommended in the north lot (by the field closest to I-295). For your safety, please cross at the marked crosswalk and press the yellow button to activate flashers.
