Preservation New Jersey is pleased to present Catrina Faith Orsi and Andrew W. Monath in celebrating life in a Fall Cabaret in the acoustically beautiful and historic landmark 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing!
Catrina and Andrew are fun, energetic, youthful and have stories to tell through their music, Catrina as a young mom and Andrew as a performer and teacher.
Songs will include such favorites as: Man of La Mancha, Crazy, Fallin', Laughing Matters, Wizard and I, There's a Fine, Fine Line, Hopelessly Devoted to You, You Can Always Count on Me, Romancing the Blues, Big Time, and We Live on Borrowed Time.
ANDREW W. MONATH earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Arts Education from Arcadia University with a concentration in Musical Theater. He taught public school music for eighteen years, spending three years as the Choral and Drama/Musical Director at Lyndhurst High School in Bergen County, NJ. His previous teaching positions have included Choral Director and Drama Director at Highland Park Middle and High School and 12 years as a Middle School Choral Director in Cheltenham School District where he built the middle school choral program to over 300 voices and established a nationally renowned musical theater program for middle school students. His choirs have sung for festivals and other community events as well as the National Anthem at Citizen’s Bank Park for a Phillies Game. He has been a professional Church Musician for over 25 years. He is beginning his second year as the Minister of Music at The Reformed Church of the Ascension, United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville, PA. Prior to the he served as Organist and Music Director at Arch Street United Methodist Church in Philadelphia and before that he served as Organist/Music Director at Asbury United Methodist Church in Norristown, PA for 12 years. At Asbury he has helped the Chancel Choir increase in numbers as well as established the Sanctuary Concert Series, formed the Youth Choir and a Community Outreach Choir.
In addition to his work in Choral Music, he has directed and produced over fifty plays and musicals with middle school, high school and college aged students. Mr. Monath has been an adjunct professor at Arcadia University where he taught “Acting Styles in Musical Theater” and served as Musical Director in the Theater Department. For seven years he served as the Assistant Conductor for VOICES Chorale in Princeton, NJ. Mr. Monath is a member of ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association), MENC (Music Educator’s National Conference) and AGO (American Guild of Organists).
Tickets are $20 for General Admission, $15 for Friends of the Sanctuary, and only $5 for school and college students with ID. Tickets may be purchased online below by selecting your ticket option and clicking on the "Buy Now" link to use credit or debit card or your PayPal account. If ordering two or three ticket types, each type must be purchased in a separate order. You will receive an email confirmation of each purchase. Online tickets will be held at the box office; please print and bring your receipt in case it is needed to confirm your purchase.
GROUP RATES are now available! Choose the Group ticket option and each ticket will have a $5 discount from the General Admission price (same as the Friends of the 1867 Sanctuary ticket price)! Group rate tickets must be purchased in quantities of 10 or more within a single purchase. Group rates apply only to advance online sales and cannot be purchased at the box office prior to the concert. Groups must present themselves at the box office at the same time. For group orders of fewer than 10 people, the full General Admission rate (less the amount prepaid) may be required at the box office at the time of admission. Group rates do not apply to Student prices.
Tickets may be purchased at the door as space allows using cash, check or credit card.
The 1867 Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible using the ramp on the left side of the building.
